Gift Certificates?

I have been wondering how the holiday season is going to unfold. Will I be swamped with orders, sewing feverishly day and night, trying to make sure everyone has their Sleeve in time to put it under their tree? Who knows…but I realized that gift certificates might be a good idea. Customers could purchase the certificate and then the recipient could order their own favorite fabric and color, to be custom made and shipped directly to them.

I could put a brochure (still in development stage) in with the certificate, and of course the website address, so they could figure out what they are getting.

Any thoughts?

About Linda

I am a learner. A teacher. A questioner. A lover of nature and of the big picture of life. Why and how and what if are questions that I constantly ask, since I am too lazy to do things the hard way and too out-of-the-box to do them the way they have always been done! I love growing things, building things and helping people define and reach their goals.

When I had my candle business I offered gift certificates multiple ways, I think they were (1) I would mail a paper certificate to the purchaser (2) I would mail a paper certificate to the recipient (3) I would e-mail an electronic gift certificate to the purchaser to send on to the recipient with their own message (4) I would e-mail an electronic gift certificate directly to the recipient. I had people request all of those in different situations and it really wasn’t that harder to offer the options, I just created one e-mail form & one printed form & plugged in the coupon code my shopping cart generated.
